Our aim is to build student confidence and in doing so improve their results across all areas of life. Our guarantee is to engage students in creative arts activities that are enjoyable, and to support teachers in their efforts to meet curriculum outcomes. Founded in Sydney in 1995, we have almost 20 years experience in creating and delivering drama workshops for schools and creative arts activities for kids. We recognise the huge potential that interactive arts programs have for improving young people’s self esteem, empathy, and their sense of social responsibility. Our work champions these qualities.

At the helm of Red Roar is writer, director and performer, Gavin Vance (BA Comm – Honours, BA Teaching) whose training includes: Charles Darwin University’s Cultures of Collaboration (2012), Sequencing Stories & Songs (2008)Drama in a Multiculture (2004)Tropnest Writer’s Development Initiative (1999)Theatresports Inc. (1997), Philippe Gaulier’s Spring School in Sydney (1995) and Welfare State International (1991). Gavin is also a trained teacher who has been in residence as a casual at Newtown Public School and as After School Drama facilitator since 2013, building performance projects like The Hungry Games (as featured in the Inner West Courier), and popular school holiday activities like The Five-Day Play.
